Thanks and Appreciation

Nov 27, 2014

A message from James Carver, President

On behalf of myself and everyone at the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, we would like to wish you and yours a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We would like to extend a special thank you to all of you who helped out and participated in our Veterans Day Food Drive. Working together we touched so many people's lives in a positive way, and it couldn't have been made possible without your generosity and support. In this issue of Behind the Badge, you will see a few stories of how our membership is going above and beyond to serve the communities in which we live and work. I also invite you all to tune into our new radio show, Nassau PBA: Police Talks, which I host on WHLI, 1100AM.  The show is Saturday mornings at 7:30am and discusses a broad range of topics including police issues, crime prevention, community outreach, public safety and legislation that affects law enforcement.

As we get together this Thanksgiving with friends and loved ones, please take a moment to remember those serving in our nation's military who cannot be home with their families. Their dedication to service should be recognized and honored.
