Great Neck, August 28, 2019: Arrest for Burglary

Third Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Queens Village man for incidents that occurred on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 11:50 A.M. 

According to detectives, defendant went to two different homes, one on Tain Drive and the other on Clent Road, pretending to be a sub-contractor for the Village of Russell Gardens, stating he needed to check gas and electric meters. Defendant who was allowed access by homeowners, then left the home without any proceeds. The homeowners became suspicious and called Russell Gardens Village Hall to inquire about defendant and were informed he was not an employee of  the Village. An employee of Village Hall contacted Police with his description of the vehicle he was driving. 

Sixth precinct Officers canvassed the area and located defendant a short time later driving the described vehicle, pulled him over and placed him under arrest. 

Defendant is charged with, two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degreeand Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree.
