The Firat Squad reports the arrest of a North Merrick couple for Narcotics that occurred on Tuesday March 12, 2019, at 6:15 P.M in North Merrick.
According to Detectives, First Precinct Police with the assistance of the Nassau County Probation Department, conducted a night watch probation check at a North Merrick residence. While inside the residence conducting a lawful search of the defendant's, officers recovered in excess of 200 Oxycodone tablets, numerous Xanax tablets, eight clear bags containing a white powdery substance believed to be Cocaine, and a switchblade knife. Both defendants were placed into custody. A further search of the home revealed large amounts of U.S. currency and a brown/tan powdery substance believed to be heroin.
Defendant is charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree with intent to sell, 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, 11 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. Co-Defendant is charged with 1 count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree.
