Syosset, May 28, 2014: Arrest for Robbery

A subject placed items on the counter of a 7 Eleven located on Berry Hill Rd in Syosset. When asked by the clerk for identification, the subject produced a Florida ID. The clerk began to question the subject about his address. The subject then became agitated and jumped over the counter and struck the clerk on the side of the face. The subject then grabbed the items off the counter and ran into a waiting vehicle. Second Precinct Officers, while on patrol, observed the defendant a short time later by the Syosset train station and placed him under arrest.

The defendant was charged with Robbery 3rd Degree. Also the defendant was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree (from a previous order of protection).
