Westbury, April 25, 2014: Arrest for Robbery 1st Degree

A subject arrived at at an auto sales establishment on Urban Ave in Westbury and agreed to purchase a 2004 Audi A4 from the victim. After making the agreement, the victim entered his office to retrieve the keys and title to the car. The subject then displayed a silver pistol and demanded the keys, title and victim's cell phone. The subject then fled scene in an unknown direction in the vehicle. Responding Third Precinct Officers gave a timely and detailed radio notification of the armed subject and the car. A short time later, a Nassau County Fifth Precinct Police Officer, who received the notification, observed the vehicle driving westbound on the Southern State Parkway. He conducted a vehicle stop and placed the defendant under arrest without incident. The loaded pistol was recovered from the vehicle. The subject was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree.
