Picture Massapequa Park, NY On Saturday, November 9th, at 10:00am, the PBA held a dedication ceremony for Police Officer Geoffrey Breitkopf at the corner of Clark Boulevard and Front Street in Massapequa Park. There, you will find a small park where the Nassau PBA has placed a bronze memorial plaque. The Breitkopf family, many members of the Nassau County Police Department, the departmental Ceremonial Unit, Color Guard and Pipe Band will all be in attendance.

On March 12, 2011, Police Officer Geoffrey Breitkopf was tragically killed in the line of duty. The PBA has been working with the Mayor of the Village Massapequa Park to find a location to be dedicated in his honor so the residents will never forget the ultimate sacrifice Geoff made on that fateful day. The memorial was built by the members of Troops 660 and 776 of the Boy Scouts of America as part of Christopher Rail's Eagle Scout project. Christopher is the son of NCPD Police Officer Jimmy Rail.
