On July 28, 2018 at approximately 0400 hours Police Officers Jackson and Sukalic, were on routine patrol operating RMP 112 in Roosevelt.

The Officers observed a male Hispanic walking southbound on Nassau Road who appeared to be bleeding profusely from his face and body. Officers Jackson and Sukalic stopped the male and discovered that he was the victim of a robbery that had just occurred.

During the commission of the robbery the victim had also been beaten and slashed multiple times with a sharp object about his face, chest and arms by a group of male black subjects.
Officers Jackson and Sukalic then obtained a description of the subjects and made a detailed radio notification.

A short time later, during a canvass, Police Officer Timpanaro while operating RMP 104 did observe a male black walking southbound on Babylon Turnpike in Roosevelt. The male matched the description of one subject from the radio notification. He was stopped and after a positive show-up, placed under arrest.

The apprehension of the subject by Police Officer Timpanaro led to the investigation and arrest of multiple other subjects involved in the robbery.

Because of their dedication to patrol, prompt reaction and keen observation, we are proud to name Officers Jackson, Sukalic and Timpanaro PBA Top Cops for July 2018.
