Top Cop February 2018

EIGHTH PRECINCT
Police Officers
Christopher Grosser

On February 12, 2018 at approximately 0000 HRS, 911 dispatched an assignment for an auto accident on the Southern State Parkway. 911 advised that the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene with money falling out of their pockets. The occupants then disappeared into the back streets of South Farmingdale. Those 3 individuals were believed to have been subjects in a robbery in Suffolk County.
Responding Officers set up a perimeter.

Officer Grosser observed a taxi driving down the street. Officer Grosser then interviewed the taxi driver. Officer Grosser believed the subjects may have called the taxi. He then responded to the location of the pick up and was able to place one of the subjects into custody. The other 2 subjects were later located and also arrested. These subjects were also wanted by the NYPD.

Because of his quick response and quick thinking, Officer Grosser was able to take these dangerous criminals off the street. The Nassau County PBA is proud to announce Police Officer Christopher Grosser as its Top Cop for February 2018.
